UFitness Hotel

Owen and Heidi were so friendly and attentive throughout my amazing stay at UFitness Hotel. The place was pristine, with modern decor and top-notch amenities, and my spacious, spotless room was a comfortable retreat after a long day. The location was peaceful while still close to everything. I’d definitely come back, and highly recommend UFitness Hotel for its mix of fitness, luxury, and great service.

Owen welcomed us warmly and simply, then showed us what the outside of UFitness Hotel doesn’t suggest: spacious areas, a slightly quirky feel, a relaxation floor, terrace, pool, fitness area, and comfortable rooms. The access and street can give the wrong impression, but appearances are deceiving here. The guesthouse is tucked away, yet centrally placed, just 5 minutes from Vila Real de Santo António train station, 5 minutes from Monte Gordo beach, and 20 minutes from Tavira. It has plenty of amenities while sitting a little away from the bustle. We were on a road trip through southern Portugal and stopped in Vila Real for one rather warm night, so we couldn’t make full use of everything. We did get to chat with Owen, who has lived in Portugal for several years, over a breakfast that met our expectations. I recommend it to people who want peace and simplicity and appreciate good manners and thoughtful hospitality. It has the humble, modest charm of the southern Portugal we love, away from the big cities.

The owners were so friendly and helpful that I felt at home right away, and the airport shuttle was really convenient. UFitness Hotel sits in nature, just minutes from the beach, with great chances for outdoor activities and a very relaxing setting. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious, a lovely way to start the day.

We found what we were looking for here: somewhere near the beach and town, with a gym, so we could keep active and still walk to restaurants in the evenings. It’s usually hard to get all of that in one place. We had five glorious days, and the owners were lovely and accommodating. Owen, one of the owners and a fitness trainer, took us through circuits on the huge, quiet beach. We had so much fun we barely noticed we were exercising. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, clean, and more like a boutique hotel. We’ve already talked about coming back next year with a bigger group, maybe booking every room. Can’t rate it highly enough. Thanks to Owen and Heidi for making our visit so special.
