Hotel A Esteva

The outdoor space, pool included, was lovely, and there's a great play area nearby where the kids can burn off some energy. Our room was roomy and really clean, and all the staff were so friendly. A lovely stay with our children. We'd definitely come back and recommend it to families and friends.

Jorge at reception was the highlight for me. He arranged a taxi and pointed me to a great restaurant for dinner, and was incredibly helpful. Breakfast was good, with milk, doughnuts, bread and fruit. The hotel is next to the bus station in Castro Verde, with good restaurants nearby and plenty of parking. My room was spacious, had a balcony, and the bathroom and tub were well maintained. The pool is a good size with proper seating, and having English TV channels was a relief. I had a great stay.

There are restaurants and markets within walking distance, and parking right outside the hotel. It's in a quiet part of Castro Verde, and the friendly staff made a good impression. The pool and the area around it were clean and well cared for, with a towel available if you'd forgotten yours. Breakfast was included, with the usual options as well as local cheeses, cold cuts and jams. Inside, the reception and surrounding areas were bright and clean, and my room was spotless. The towels had the hotel crest, the sheets were snowy white, and the air conditioning cooled well. Every room has a balcony for the local sunshine and fresh air. A real gem in Alentejo.

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of local produce, and they made good coffee when we asked. They were happy to help with all our requests. The room was large and clean, and we felt very comfortable during our night there. The pool was great and didn't have much chlorine. It exceeded what we'd expected, and I'd book here again.
