The wooden floor creaks, and sound carries through the building, but it’s a convenient spot for a short stay. Porto Campaña train station is just a 3 minute walk away. The building is nice and the room was okay. Paula and Ricardo were very kind and made sure my midnight check-in went smoothly.

We arrived at the guest house and couldn’t get through the gate. Nobody was there, and our attempts to get in and calls to the owner got no response. We booked another hotel. Later, the owner called and blamed us for not giving our arrival time, even though we’d sent it weeks earlier through Booking. I’d recommend avoiding this place.

The old building has comfortable rooms with all the modern conveniences, and the welcome was friendly. Just know it’s cash only, and breakfast isn’t provided. There are plenty of places to eat nearby.

It’s a simple place in a century-old building, and good value for the price.

I lasted 10 minutes before leaving. The mattress seemed 200 years old, and there was just a fan covered in dirt, bugs, and mold. The place was dirty and smelly. 👎🏽
