Casa do Pioledo

Susana was attentive, professional, and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We had a typical Portuguese meal delivered, and everyone enjoyed it 🥰 We were 20 people and all felt at home. The bedrooms and bathrooms, along with the rest of the accommodation, were really well equipped. The newer part has air conditioning in every room; in the old part, the thick stone walls make it unnecessary. At first the access seemed tricky, but we soon found easier roads. It’s a quiet place that worked very well for family time, and we had a lovely time relaxing there. Casa do Pioledo was wonderful for our family holiday, so I can’t rate it below 5. Thank you for everything 🤗🙏👍

We left disappointed after a weekend with our children and older relatives. The house is large, but poorly maintained, and it didn't look like the photos we saw before booking. The bedrooms were damp and not very clean, the beds were old, and the mattresses were poor. The pool was dirty, some things were broken, and the neglected lawn had sharp edges and no irrigation. The kitchen pans and other utensils were badly worn and need replacing. Both fridges were switched off when we arrived, and one wasn't working when we checked it. The location is beautiful, but access is awful: it's far from everything, and the road is in very poor condition and feels dangerous. No one welcomed us when we arrived. On the phone, they kept asking for the money, so we had to insist that someone come in person. They should take these comments seriously. I don't recommend the place, and we won't return.

Having to take the bathroom rubbish out as part of checkout is pretty absurd. The checkout rules are a bit ridiculous.

Daniela Frontela Our family group had high expectations for this rural house, so it was disappointing to find so many problems. The pool and room photos don’t seem to show what the place actually looks like. The bedroom areas are very different: one side is neglected, with old beds and pillows. The other is more modern, but still didn’t leave me with a positive impression. The owner didn’t contact us when we arrived, though we expected her to meet us and handle any issues over the weekend. She came only after we insisted, and we let that go, but it didn’t seem right. Two refrigerators didn’t cool at all. It felt like a string of problems caused by carelessness and neglect. He only showed up to collect the remaining money, which, according to the contract, was due there.
