Quinta dos Mouras

We came back in September/October 2024 after first staying here in spring 2022, soon after the renovated Quinta dos Mouras opened. The peaceful valley around Infesta was just as lovely this time, with the church in view and its bells in the distance. The hosts were warm and enthusiastic again, and everything from the rooms and shared space to the pool was in perfect shape. The new downstairs toilet by the pool is a welcome addition. There’s plenty of room and privacy for everyone, and the accommodations are comfortable. Quinta dos Mouras sits in a quiet, beautiful area where kids can play freely while parents unwind. Porto is about an hour away by car, so it’s easy to mix time in nature with a day in the city, with its culture and cozy places to eat. A great fit for families looking for space, peace, and nature.

The hosts were really kind and attentive, and the rooms were clean and cozy. There’s a big living room, plus a spacious kitchen with so much equipment that you only need to bring food and drinks. Outside, there’s a large pool and a roomy, practical barbecue area with plenty of benches and tables. We also found lots to do, including ping-pong, darts, foosball, and other games, and there’s parking too.

We spent the first week of the Easter holidays here, from 2/4/22 to 9/4/22, with the whole family. The quinta had just reopened after renovations, and we were its first guests under the new owners. The old wine cellar has become a lovely kitchen, dining, and living space, where local stone walls meet modern comforts. The bedroom furniture had also been renewed, and the rooms felt restful. We slept very well. It’s a beautiful house in a gorgeous setting, and we’d love to come back in summer to enjoy the pool too. Van den Bleeken Family, Belgium
