Pousada Mosteiro Crato

My massage at Natural Spa was perfectly relaxing. Leonor Souza was professional and attentive, and the balance was the best part: I left feeling light and calm, but still had energy to enjoy the rest of the day. A five-star hotel service I wouldn’t miss.

Sleeping and dining inside a castle made the stay feel really special. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and there are lovely bar and lounge areas, a good pool, plus a free spa with a steam room and Jacuzzi. The service was friendly, too. It’s the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If I could give it 100 stars, I would. Just fantastic.

We had a very good breakfast, and the service is what really makes the hotel shine. Our Tower Room was warm and comfortable, with the fireplace going and the jacuzzi ready. The Pousada Mosteiro do Crato is lovely even in winter. A pleasure to come back.

The restaurant food and the small details brought down my rating, especially since I’m judging this as a 5-star hotel. The dishes looked lovely, but the food itself was below par. There were used capsules in the room’s coffee machine, room service was listed as available until midnight but couldn’t provide food at 23h, and I went to the bar a couple of times during its stated opening hours only to find nobody there. The jacuzzi water wasn’t really warm either. It’s a shame, because the staff were kind and helpful, and the junior suite was beautiful, with an amazing room and balcony. The hotel itself is very nice, but I have to give it 3 stars.
