Duarte, the manager, gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the whole house, and helped with our bags. The bedding and towels were top quality, and we slept well. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast, made with premium ingredients, and had a relaxing time by the inviting pool. This boutique hotel is in a historic residence dating back to 1780, with a lovely mix of luxury and charm. We had a delightful stay and highly recommend it.
One useful tip: ask by email for directions to the side of the building where you can park, since Google Maps will send you the wrong way. The hotel itself is a great-value base for exploring the Alentejo, with attentive, friendly staff, lovely rooms, tasty meals, and an inviting pool and garden.
Miss Catarina gave us the warmest welcome and a clear introduction to the facilities. The breakfast was exquisite, and the pool area was so relaxing. Travassos 11 is full of one-of-a-kind details and corners that make for a five-star stay. For art and interior design lovers, it’s like Disneyland Paris; if you want somewhere discreet, clean, and classy, it feels like paradise. I highly recommend staying here in Elvas and can’t wait to return.
The decor is really unique and beautiful, and the breakfast was amazing. The whole place is a gem, crisp, clean and neat, with friendly, helpful people. The rooms feel fresh and nice, and both the room and bed were very comfortable. I haven’t seen anywhere this beautiful.
A beautifully renovated old casona, with fantastic rooms and shared spaces where you can sit for a drink or read. There’s a lovely pool area and a nice terraza for a late-night drink overlooking the town. Highly recommended.
