Hotel Lido

Ten nights here and I didn't enjoy the stay. The pool was cold and had no seats, and there was no bar, dinner, or pub or anything else nearby. The bathrooms had a bad smell, there was no kettle in the room, and the facilities and customer service were poor. It didn't feel like good value either. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was clean and roomy, with a decent smart TV and a balcony furnished with a table and two chairs. The AC fan sat on the floor and blew air at our legs, though; usually it's up near the ceiling. We found street parking without much trouble, and breakfast cost €10, but we like to sleep in, so we skipped it. The toilet had the sewer smell mentioned in other reviews, and we left the window open to air it out. Soundproofing was poor enough that toilet water rushing through pipes was easy to hear. Around 10:00 there was a leaf blower, and one morning a neighbor mowed the garden at about 09:00. The pool looked greenish rather than blue, so we didn't use it. About 3.5 stars.

We had to switch rooms four times at check-in because the window locks weren't working properly. The rooms also lacked closet space and had no working bathroom fan. Staff worked hard to sort things out, but I wasn't offered an upgrade or a refund for the hassle. My stay ended up being disappointing, and I probably won't return.

We left because this felt like a one-star place, far below what we'd paid for. It was worn out and old, with insects around. The staff were fine, but it seemed to us that maintenance and cleaning were underfunded because of management. I'd tell people to stay somewhere else. They changed my booking on booking.com, which means I can't leave the rating I think they deserve. I paid for the stay. They're falsifying things on booking, and no one would want to stay there with their family.
