The shared kitchen and the fridge space set aside for each room were really useful. We only stayed one night while passing through on our way to Évora, and the place worked well for that. The room did have a very strong mold smell, though, even with no visible signs of mold.

I came away very disappointed with Guest Inn Avis. There are plenty of better places to choose from in the region, so I can't recommend this accommodation. It needs major improvements before it can offer guests even a minimally satisfactory stay.

There's no breakfast, but you can get free tea and coffee, and plenty of nearby places sell bread, cheese and pastries. Cafe d'avis across the square is a nice, inexpensive option, and the hotel has a cafe next door too. The place was clean and friendly, and well placed for visiting the sites. Free parking is about 100 metres away, just off the large roundabout before you pass through the gateway in the wall.

The owner was so kind, and the shared kitchen and living room were kept clean. We had a nice, comfortable two-night stay, with strong enough WiFi and free coffee, tea and fruit. The one letdown was the sewage smell coming from the bathroom.

We had a large room with its own bathroom, which worked perfectly with the kids. The staff were very friendly and helped us sort out parking, which was easy. Great location and relaxed spaces.
