Quinta de São Tomé

Monica was an amazing host, quick to respond and helpful with any request, while Terresa provided great service and a delightful breakfast. The rooms had everything we wanted: modern fittings, comfortable beds, lovely pillows and linens, good soundproofing, and a shower and bathroom fit for a 4 or 5 star hotel. We’ve stayed at many Quintas in Portugal and Rural Casas in Spain, and this is among the finest for elegance and attention to detail. We just wish the weather hadn’t been unseasonably cold, so we could have used the pool. It’s near the city center, and there’s a beautiful hiking path right across the street. Highly recommend.

I visited in February 2023 and wish I’d stayed longer, since I didn’t get to see everything in Evora. The room at Quinta de São Tomé was new and clean, and everything worked as expected. There was seating in the shared room and outside, and it’s a couple of minutes by car from the parking lot beside the old city walls. There were a few drawbacks: the door also served as the only window, parking was very tight, and breakfast was somewhat limited. Given the affordable rate, I could overlook those things.

A tranquil little piece of heaven, with a pool and places to sit and relax. The property is beautiful, the bed was comfy, and the shower was great. Our room had everything we could want. The owners and staff were incredible. It’s a very special place, and I’m looking forward to staying again. Don’t hesitate to book.

Monica and Rui welcomed us so warmly and were wonderful, accommodating hosts. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and lounging by the pool was so relaxing. Everything was perfect. I only wish we could’ve stayed more than one night. Can’t wait to return!
