Casa Atlantida

We paid €350 a night, far too much for a place in this condition. The staff were polite, but the property needs renovation and didn’t live up to the price. It’s very old and poorly maintained, with dampness, a bad smell, and insects in several rooms. The bathroom had drainage issues, and one shower had no hot water. The kitchen was hard to use and not suited to cooking. When it rained, water leaked into the rooms and made the stay uncomfortable.

I liked the place as it was, with the feel of staying in a local home, even though it isn’t new. I visited in March, during the off season, and it was chilly inside. If it had been warm, it would’ve been perfect for me. It’s near the waterfalls with a nice sea view, and there are shops and the one restaurant open in the off season nearby. It’s easy to contact the staff, and they check whether everything is going well. It’s a nice place.

I’m so happy with my stay. The house and hosts were amazing, and it had everything I needed. Communication was easy, and the hosts speak fluent English. I highly recommend it!

There are a few houses here. I stayed in the large one near Baraca Q'abana and really loved it. The big kitchen and living room have lots of space and a nice open fire in the middle. With three toilets, showers, and bedrooms, it works easily for larger groups. It’s also easy to get to the center, supermarket, sea and shore, and restaurant. Highly recommend!
