Hostel A Casa da Árvore

Rui made us feel completely welcome and thought of just about everything guests might need. The fridge was stocked with water, beer, chocolate milk, and chocolate bars. There were also make-up remover, cotton pads, lotions, sunscreen, toothpaste, beach umbrellas, and loads more. We could have arrived with nothing and still been fine. The room was spacious, fresh, and lovely, and the bathroom was super clean. My daughter and I loved every bit of our stay and didn’t want to leave. This is the loveliest place we could have hoped for, and Rui is such a sweet, helpful, positive host. I could say much more, but I’m not sure how much space I get here. Thank you so much, dear Rui. The house feels authentic, with a cute patio area where the bathrooms are. We didn’t go into Faro itself, so I can’t say much about the location, but it seems to be in a suburb of Faro. The host was lovely and very kind, and went above and beyond.

It’s a 5 min walk from downtown, and there’s a nice terrace plus an indoor living room where you can work remotely, with good wifi. The hostel is extremely clean. Rui was the best hostel host we’ve ever had, great at communicating, super friendly, and always happy to help.

Everything was beautifully clean and charmingly rustic, and we had what we needed. Rui was an excellent host. We had a wonderful time and I’d happily stay here again if we pass through Faro.
