Monte-Bougainvillea

The apartments are exceptionally well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and the terrace was lovely. The pool, car and airport pickup and drop-off were all at a high five-star level, and the owners really care about their guests. We had a wonderful 12 days at Monte Bougainvillea in the Algarve. We’re going back in February and March 2023, if you want to check my reference stay there too. I can really recommend this holiday place, but please don’t tell too many people! The place’s originality was stunning.

Sylvie and JC are delightful and generous with their time, while still giving you space. They’re around with a friendly word or advice about restaurants and beaches. The house sits on a hill with lovely distant views, tucked into a beautiful garden. There are five apartments, and the pool is tucked away in a peaceful green corner. Our apartment, Lirios, was spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed and modern bathrooms. A car and pickup and return from Faro airport are included, so there’s not much to worry about. Just enjoy a relaxing stay, whether for a few days or much longer.

I love staying at Monte-Bougainvillea. It’s a beautiful, relaxed place, and both apartments we’ve tried were well equipped and very clean. Sylvie & JC are great hosts. They’re available if you have questions, but otherwise let you get on with your day, and you’ll see them around. The pool is very clean and the car is brilliant. The hosts, Sylvie and J-C, were welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We found the included car useful for saving time. It’s a truly beautiful place for real peace, with panoramic views over the hills. The quinta and pool are spacious, clean and maintained to a very high standard. We’ll definitely return. Highly recommended.
