Solar Mendonca Boutique Hotel

The building has been converted into a set of mini suites, and the rooms are spacious and really clean. It's about 5 mins on foot from central Faro, which makes it quiet but still very handy. There are nearby restaurants and cash points, and the room safe is large enough for things like laptops. You can choose the room cleaning schedule. An Uber from the airport takes less than 15 mins. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Solar Mendonça made our first visit to the city a great one. We loved the location, hotel and staff, and the conditions were fantastic. The manager and everyone on staff were absolutely fantastic and made our stay a delight. My wife and I hope to return soon.

I had a wonderful stay at Solar Mendonca hotel, a brand new boutique property with beautiful design. Helder takes huge pride in it, and I can see why. The owner has thought of everything, from slippers and luxurious dressing gowns to a coffee machine, mini fridge and even an umbrella. Faro had some wet weather while I was there, but it didn't bother me much with such a lovely place to come back to. The rooftop is gorgeous, with a view of the church next door and a peaceful place to sit. It's less than a 2 min walk to Faro's main area and close to the chapel of bones. I had a problem with my booking.com reservation, but Helder sorted it out without any fuss. I'll definitely recommend it and return on my next trip to Faro. Thank you for a great stay!!

The service, location, quality and comfort all get 10. It went beyond what I expected. Highly recommended.
