The kids were so happy there they didn't want to leave. Our twins enjoyed the surrounding area, the beds, and the toys the owners had thoughtfully put out for them. The owners were wonderful and welcomed us so warmly that we felt almost like family, right from the moment we arrived. We picked 4/5 Portobali Ecoresort for its location: 1h20 from the Enchanted Forest in Porta de Mezio, our first destination, 1h20 from Perlim in Santa Maria da Feira, the area's biggest Christmas recreation for children, and just 1h from Porto and all its museums. We came for the location and ended up falling in love with the place. The calm surroundings and Asian touches felt very serene, and throughout our stay the owners made us feel truly at home. The breakfast room was cozy, like an old northern house with stone walls. And the freshly baked bread was something else.

The suite was spacious and charming, with all the comfort we needed. That open shower coming from a wooden beam is a real eye-catcher. We liked having a Portuguese restaurant within walking distance, plus lots of other restaurants within a 10-minute range. Ecoresort Portobali is a relaxed place surrounded by beautiful nature, and it works well as a central base for North Portugal, 40 minutes from Porto and Braga and 20 minutes from Amarante and Guimarães. A great romantic getaway for couples.

We stayed for a week and could easily have spent another couple of weeks exploring the cities, local markets, cycling, and the lovely nature. The beautiful Douro region is also within reach. Ecoresort Portobali makes a very central base in North Portugal, 40 minutes from Porto and Braga and 20 minutes from Guimaraes and Amarante. We love good food and wine, so this was a great area for us. We hadn't realized Portugal had so many thermal places to relax. It was peaceful here, surrounded by nature, and a lovely place to recharge. We'll definitely return!

Our daughter had a great time on the playground and trampoline, and we felt comfortable letting her play there safely. The room was bigger than the ones we'd had at other hotels, and we were surprised by how many family activities North Portugal has, including an adventure park, museum park, and waterparks. The resort combines relaxation with things for families to do. As from next month, the accommodation will also offer a swimming pool. We can't wait to come back!
