Azul Singular

Rain and humidity were the main drawback for us. The tent and our clothes never dried properly, and the towels stayed wet throughout our rainy days. The bed was much too soft for me. Breakfast came in a cute Little Red Hiding Hood basket and was nice, though I would've liked more variety. The staff were lovely, the WiFi worked properly, the water was potable, and the kitchen had good equipment. You can hear the dogs, cows, and other animals from about 7.00/7.30 in the morning. We didn't use the community room, which has books and games for rainy or boring days. It's definitely a nice place for a few days, but the high humidity can be difficult.

The owner was super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast basket each day was amazing. The bread and especially the croissants were a bit plain, though I guess that's a general Azorean "problem". We stayed in February during what were around the coldest days of the year, so the little pellet furnace was badly needed. It's modern, with no need to light a fire yourself and no smoke, and it warmed the cottage nicely. Each cozy cottage sits tucked away in the "jungle", so you get plenty of privacy. There's also a nicely decorated shared area if you'd like to meet other people. On stormy nights, which are common at that time of year, the noise can make it hard to sleep and the cottage feels as if it might be blown away. It is actually very stable, though, so no worries. A small paradise and a great stay. Thanks for an amazing memory!

Staying at Azul Singular was a fun, comfortable experience, and such a unique one. I'd happily recommend it.

Even with quite a few other tents nearby, the trees make this place feel private. The tents are clean, well equipped, and nicely proportioned. It's a great spot if you love being outdoors but still want a solid roof over you at night. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.
