It suited us well for a three-day stay, and we'd come back. The place was very clean and handy for town. We couldn't find a kettle and there wasn't much kitchen equipment, but we had no real complaints.

We had a peaceful, relaxing time here and I'd recommend the place. It was cleaned every day and came with nearly everything, including a kettle, coffee machine, electric cooker, and microwave. The shower was the main letdown: the warm water came through slowly with very little pressure. You have to keep the hair dryer button pressed for it to work, and although there was soap, no shampoo was provided.

My flight was unfortunately canceled, so I had to cancel my whole trip to Madeira, including three nights at this lovely, I guess, hotel. I can't comment on the place itself, but the staff weren't cooperative when I tried to find a way to get a refund for all or even part of those nights. I'm sorry they weren't willing to make any gesture in this situation.

The bed was really comfortable, and the owner was very friendly. It's a beautiful, cozy hotel, furnished with a lot of care. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Our room was at the very top of the building, and we had a great view. The place was clean and tidy, and the rooms have air conditioning. It's right in the center of Funchal, a fantastic location.
