Ocean View Villa

The villa's strongest point is its unbeatable ocean view, and Pedro was easily the best host I've ever had. From our first contact until we said goodbye, he was a huge help, available for every question about the booking, villa, or things to do around Madeira. When we needed anything, such as another blanket, a dish sponge, or a baking scale, he brought it within 24 hours. He was practically available around the clock and recommended great places. He's incredibly kind and helpful. My heartfelt thanks to Pedro! As for the villa itself, I want to be honest: the photos don't show how badly it needs renovation, especially the kitchen, even though its equipment is excellent. The design felt sterile and cold, without much to make it cozy: no carpets, cushions, or tablecloth. The white sofa in the photo has been replaced by a worn gray one that could use a cleaning. Inside, the house felt a bit damp and musty, though it does have good dehumidifiers. The pool is heated, but uncovered, and was quite cold for us in June, so hardly anyone used it. That was a shame, since I expected more from a heated pool. There weren't comfortable cushions for the pool furniture either. You'll need a rental car to get around. I'd rate the accommodation 7 out of 10. Pedro deserves 11 out of 10 as a host. All the best, Pedro! Alexandra & Claudia

We had an amazing stay at OceanView Villa Madeira. After searching for ages on Airbnb, Booking com, and elsewhere, I'm so glad we found it. For the quality and price, I think it's the best. The villa is sparkling clean and even more beautiful in person, with gorgeous ocean views. It also worked really well for a family with kids. The location feels private, exclusive, and safe, and the infinity pool and outdoor grill area were fantastic. You do need to rent a car, but it's well worth it. The center is only 10 minutes away by car, and I'd recommend a car for Madeira anyway if you want to see all the beautiful sights. Pedro was a great host, professional and very helpful, and gave us tips on things to do around Madeira. I really can't say enough good things. We'll rent here again, and I'd highly recommend the place!

The experience was great, though the road up is really steep. It can also get cloudier and rainier there.

A modern villa with everything equipped just right, plus a lovely swimming pool. Such a beautiful place to stay.
