Vila Camacho Guest House

The rooms are basic, but they were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was good, though the coffee could be better, and we also had a great dinner at the restaurant. We really recommend the cultural night on Thursdays. The customer service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who made us feel appreciated as guests. Their quality is what makes the hotel stand out, and I'd happily stay again. Just note that the rooms don't have air conditioning.

The rooftop terrace is worth seeing in daylight, but it’s especially nice after dark. I had a great stay: the house is lovely, my room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Dinner at the on-site restaurant, Bar O Vizinho, was delicious too.

There were insects, mostly ants, all over the place on both nights I stayed. The early-morning takeaway breakfast was just as disappointing: two moldy pieces of bread with one slice of ham and two slices of cheese, no vegetables or sauces, and the ham didn’t even cover the bread.

The restaurant food was excellent, and live music made the meal even better. We spent just two nights at the guest house, but it was a great choice. Our room had a lovely balcony, a sea view, and everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful at any hour. We’d happily come back.
