They made us go through a dreadful week and offered no help at all. The beds were a camp bed and a sofa, both extremely uncomfortable. We asked for at least a mattress topper and got no reply, even when Booking called them during the week. We never would have booked if we’d known we’d be sleeping on a camp bed. The house was infested with ants and insects, and we had to sleep with them around us. They still didn’t respond. After a week of complaints, they finally called the night before we left, but nothing was resolved. We asked for at least a 50% refund for the discomfort and filth we’d put up with, and they flatly refused. If you go to Madeira, avoid this place and these people. I have proof of everything I’m saying, but I’ll leave out all the other details.

The apartment was really nice and clean, and the location was nearly perfect.

We booked the apartment for four, but it was clearly set up for about two and a half. The sofa bed only fit one person, and honestly the floor was more comfortable. The fourth person had a camp bed like something from a military barracks, or worse. It was a nightmare week, with ants in the apartment and complete indifference from the owners. After ignoring us and leaving us with all the hassle for seven days, they offered a 10% discount on a future booking as a kind gesture. Very thoughtful. They can keep that measly discount, along with all the negative reviews to come.

The location is great, and finding parking wasn’t difficult. It’s a very cozy, clean apartment with everything needed for a short stay, and they even left us a little welcome treat. I’d recommend it and will definitely return one day.
