The peaceful setting really stood out to me, and Hotel Alambique is lovely inside and out. The staff were warm, helpful, and made everything feel easy. I’m here for work this time, but I’d gladly return for a break and enjoy the spa atmosphere properly. Highly recommend.

We had a great meal at the restaurant, though the entrée was so big even I couldn’t finish it. The spa and pool facilities are enormous, with both indoor and outdoor areas, and I had a great massage. Staff were all good, including a very capable barman. The newer wing feels five-star to me, while the older rooms are closer to four at best. Almost everyone staying there seemed Portuguese. A really good place for families with kids.

Ariana gave me a lovely massage, and the spa was amazing. We spent three days there relaxing and trying the local food. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was great too. We’ll definitely be back soon ❤️❤️

The pool area is lovely and great for kids and families, but we were given a room in the old part of the hotel. It felt like a three-star place, with an old bedroom and several broken things in the bathroom. Even the elevator looked about 30 years old, and it was dirty and broken. Service was poor, including one receptionist who was rude. The toilet supplies in our room had been used and not replaced, so we had to call reception. That was a first.

The spa is enormous and impressive, almost reason enough to stay here on its own. Public spaces are great. The rooms are dated, but they’re spacious, clean, and practical. The beds were comfortable for me, though that comes down to personal taste.
