Atlantic 3 Bicas - Furnas

The staff were so lovely, and even though we only dealt with them through WhatsApp, everything went smoothly and they were really helpful. Our room was next to the main road, so the location was pretty noisy, and the staircase isn’t convenient with young children or older people. Still, it does the job for a night or two.

A forest view and daily cleaning made this a pleasant stay. The shared kitchen has all the household basics, including a toaster, kettle, microwave, air fryer, washing machine, and dryer. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, napkins, and similar supplies are included, and there’s even a small library. I’d definitely recommend it.

Compared with other places we’ve stayed in the area, this accommodation is very basic. The rooms are clean, but noise from the common area can wake you at any hour. We didn’t really notice noise from outdoors. Coffee in the room costs extra, so we went to a snack bar a few meters away instead. Terra Nostra is nearby, with amazing gardens you can wander for hours, and Dona Beija is different but excellent too. This was our third visit to Furnas since 2016, and each time prices have been noticeably higher. I guess others have discovered our favorite holiday spot as well.

It’s basic, but very clean, with good facilities, plenty of hot water, and a small kitchen. The poor soundproofing is the main downside, and the rooms use a very loud pin pad entry system. Look past those issues and the location is perfect.
