Landescape Furnas

The bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in, and the forest views are gorgeous. Everything was pristine. Help is there if you need it, while you're left alone if you'd rather have no human contact, which is a dream for introverts or anyone with anxiety. This place by itself makes a trip to the Azores worthwhile.

We felt at home here, thanks in part to the two friendly, helpful housekeepers and the excellent service. Estevao came by on our first full day and showed us how to use some of the appliances. The owners made this stay far better than we expected, and we're grateful we got to experience it. The setting is stunning and so peaceful. We were amazed as soon as we arrived, and the website photos don't capture how beautiful the place is. With only five separate suites, it feels like having your own private retreat. Our room was spacious, with a wonderful kitchen and a top-notch bathroom. Each morning they brought fresh bread, which was delicious, and replenished the fridge with eggs, yogurt, meat, and cheese. Coffee pods and tea bags were provided too. We also loved the pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna. Be sure to book the Turkish bath, it was our favorite thing to do each day.

A peaceful, friendly place to enjoy nature. The pool and outdoor heated Jacuzzi were great for unwinding after a day exploring the island. Highly recommended!

We spent five nights here in August 2024 and were very happy with the stay. It's a small place that feels more like a group of apartments than a traditional hotel. We only saw the cleaners a few times and never met the manager or anyone else in person. Everything was handled online, which was convenient. It felt like having a small house with a pool tucked into a beautiful forest. If you want nature and quiet away from city noise, this place is a good fit. The windows look onto an inner garden, and with only a few rooms, we never found the pool crowded or heard much noise. The pool is quite large and has a lovely view of the surrounding nature. There's also a jacuzzi and sauna by the pool that you can book. The cleaner came every day and did a great job tidying our room. It was a comfort to return to a well-kept space after exploring. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful family getaway.
