Alamal River Club

The location is breathtaking, it completely blew my mind, and there's a walking trail that was one of the best I've done. The staff were very nice and friendly, and the beds were awesome. Breakfast was good enough. There's wifi and cable tv, and it's PET FRIENDLY for 25 euros extra. Get your food and drinks before 20pm. I had to drive half an hour to the nearest supermarket. Also, check that the fridge is on, they might forget.

Alamal River Club is in a great spot beside the tagus river, with a small beach right next to the property and a restaurant bar for meals or snacks. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean and cozy, with everything you'd expect, and the basic breakfast was enough. There's also a little pool (1.8m) and plenty of sunbeds.

We had to find somewhere at the last minute after our other accommodation cancelled, and Alamal couldn't have been more wonderful. Vitor was a star, so helpful and friendly, with a great personality that kept us laughing. His breakfasts were gorgeous, especially the pastries. Thanks as well to Pedro for all his help. Our room was large and lovely, looking out over the pool and then the river. The setting is quiet, with no traffic, and you can choose between the pool or the river and beach. Nature lovers will love it. There's a beach cafe for food and drinks, plenty of scenic walks nearby, plus nice restaurants, pretty villages, and a castle overlooking the river to explore. A real hidden gem, well worth a stay.

The location is superb, especially if you love nature and walking trails. There are lots of trails, all signed and mapped. The place is very cozy, and the staff are helpful.
