That spectacular view was one of the best parts of my stay. I found the room very comfortable and loved relaxing while taking in the surroundings. The shower was a little small, but it didn't spoil the experience. I'd happily come back for that view alone.

The welcome wasn't very friendly, and while the food was generally OK, it wasn't worth what we paid. Before we had ordered, they brought out an octopus starter. We assumed it was complimentary, then found it charged on the bill. When I tried to explain why I thought that was unprofessional, all I got was, "Sorry, I don't understand." Be careful about this next time.

We had a lovely view of the Douro River from the terrace, where we sat outside. The chef served us, and the food and wine were excellent. It's not a typical restaurant, but I thought it was worth a visit.

Don't go. We couldn't get past one bite because the food was so far below standard. It was also way overpriced, and the appetizers left on the table were charged to us afterward. When we raised the problem, the only response was an apology. Keep your money and eat somewhere else.

The setting is what you're paying for. The restaurant has excellent views, cozy music, good staff, and nicely presented dishes. The food itself wasn't bad, just nothing special, and the price felt far too high for its quality.
