Suite thing Hostel

Jason was a huge help when my buses ran late. Even though I'd already booked another hostel for my remaining nights, he still let me come back and hang out by the pool with everyone. The whole team makes you feel like you've known them for years, and the food and atmosphere are awesome. I stayed at the end of July and start of August, and it was a great place. Looking forward to stopping by this summer to say hi.

We felt at home from the moment we arrived and stayed for five nights. The hostel was very clean, and the suites were beautiful. The owner and volunteer were wonderful hosts who made the atmosphere feel special.

My private room reservation for nine nights was canceled two weeks before I was due to arrive. They gave no proper explanation and didn't help me find somewhere else to stay. Their communication was the worst part: they lied about canceling the booking earlier and about helping me find alternative accommodation, then were reluctant to compensate me for the losses after I had to change my flights and everything. When I asked for an explanation and compensation, they accused me of making threats. Now they don't reply to my emails at all. Be careful booking this nice-looking hostel. If this happened to you too, let me know. We're looking into the legal side of it further.

The hostel made it easy to enjoy Lagos. There's a supermarket five minutes away on foot, and the beach and town are about a 20-minute walk. We didn't feel like walking to town, so an Uber cost just 6 Euros. Breakfast was a tasty continental spread served from 8-10am, and Jason cooked a vegan family dinner each day with free sangria. The food was always awesome. The common spaces were open from 8am to midnight, with plenty to do and use: pool table, PlayStation, swimming pool, exercise gear, bean bags, big kitchen, sunbeds, and en-suite bathrooms. Beds were comfy, with three plugs each, and there was a fan in the room. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. We arrived before check-in, and Jason and the team welcomed us, told us about things to do around Lagos, and safely stored our bags. They were professional and always happy to help. Jason turned out to be funny, down to earth, and a great guy with some good dance moves. He and the staff went the extra mile, joining us in the evenings and hosting nights out and in with guests. Our stay was amazing, and we'll no doubt visit again. Until then, we'll have great memories of Lagos and Suite Thing Hostel.
