The staff took such wonderful care of us, and that really made the stay. We loved the beautiful countryside setting, the stunning grounds, and the rooms. Dinner and breakfast were both amazing. Thank you so much!

The location could make for a peaceful stay, but the online photos seem to show a version of the place from a long time ago. The infrastructure is run down, and nothing feels fully clean or well cared for. The pool was freezing, the beds didn’t even have duvets, and the tennis court was hazardous and clearly not maintained. Service was lacking, though the servers were pleasant and doing their best. Food choices were limited and just okay. For the price, this was incredibly disappointing and missing the details you’d expect from a luxury stay.

The rooms are spacious, in separate buildings away from reception, with superb countryside views. It feels like a stay in the middle of the countryside. The hotel is remote, so prepare your phone’s Google Maps or navigation carefully and drive slowly on the road there. Breakfast was good. Dinner was a bit overpriced, but since other restaurants are so far away, it was useful to have dinner at the hotel.

We could hear everything from the neighbours because the walls are very thin, and the kids’ playground was falling apart. Dinner also starts at 9 pm, with a table reservation required, which is too late for my children, who are nearly asleep by then. We ate at nearby restaurants instead, and they were fantastic. We had booked two rooms for two adults and two children under 10, and asked for rooms next to each other. We were told that would be arranged, but on arrival they were far apart. One room smelled of mould. When I asked to switch, staff denied there was any mould, even though it was visible in the wardrobe in my pictures. The service was poor. We wanted to sit outside but had to carry everything out ourselves while staff watched. It wasn’t the only time we felt they didn’t care. At checkout, no one even asked how our stay was. This was the worst hotel experience we’ve had in a long time.
