Getting around was easy thanks to the excellent location, and there was a building caretaker who came by to sort out any problems. The downside is the cold: there's no heating or air conditioning, so bring warm clothes in winter.

The kitchen and bathrooms were kept clean, and Fabio was really helpful. I enjoyed staying and sleeping here, with a lovely river view. Just be ready for the stairs, it's on the fourth floor with no lift.

We were right by Cais de Sodre station, with cafes and bars nearby, and the staff were nice and flexible about check-in. Some rooms look out toward the Tejo, though every room is on the fourth floor. It's an old hostel in a busy central area. In our room, the bed sloped and the walls let through a lot of noise.

The apartments were spacious, clean, and a good deal for the money. The central location was a big plus, though it did get a little noisy at night.
