Royal Park Lisbon Guest House

The building was very old and unsanitary, with lots of aggressive bed bugs and mosquitoes. The staff would disappear, so there was no one to complain to. The photos make it look friendly, but you can't see the bugs in them.

Simple, clean, quiet, and friendly. A good spot for a night or two, and I'd go back.

Getting into the Hostel was a bit difficult. The room itself was okay.

I lost sleep and tour money, and the whole thing spoiled a trip I’d been looking forward to. On my first night, just as I was going to bed, I found white, black, and red bedbugs all over the place. I packed up and spent the night in the kitchen until My Real Trip arranged another place for me the next day. The accommodation gave me a full refund and seemed to consider that the end of it. They also asked for receipts for city tax and laundry. I was rushing to wash everything at the coin laundry and didn’t manage to print the receipts. I let the laundry cost go, but sent the city tax receipt and still hadn’t heard back three days later. Don’t assume it’s safe just because it looks clean. I’d never seen bedbugs before, and after this, I don’t want to return to Lisbon.
