We arrived for our advance booking to find the door locked, with no PIN code or check-in details. The property’s phone number was disconnected, and there was no other way for us to reach anyone. A local said another guest had run into the same problem earlier and had to find another hotel. We spent ages trying to get inside, then had to book somewhere else. This place is a scam!

The room was clean and comfortable, with a fairly new bathroom that has a window and working air conditioning. It’s simple, but has what you need. Breakfast comes with the stay at a small cafe in the city centre, which is a nice extra. Good value for the price.

A quirky little place in a great spot, and good value for the money. The setup is basic, so don’t expect things like a hairdryer. The host was really accommodating at check-in and helped sort out a couple of initial problems with my room and wifi. View from the rooftop below.

Right in the centre of everything, and the place was spotless with strong Wi-Fi and AC. My sister accidentally left her passport when we checked out, and the owner went way above and beyond to help get it back to us. We’ll definitely stay here again when we visit Lagos. An incredible place and owner.
