The upper-floor balcony had a lovely view, and the apartment was clean and conveniently located. But apt#703 felt nothing like the pictures. It clearly hadn't been renovated in years: there was no kettle or toaster, hardly any cutlery or glasses, and the air conditioner had apparently been broken for years, with only an ancient floor fan. The balcony doors didn't lock, the balcony was green with algae or lichen, and the TV box had no cable or outlet to plug into. In the kitchen, some tiles were broken and sharp, while the fridge's rubber seals were peeling off, though it did cool very well. The beds rocked when you sat on the edges and creaked terribly with any movement during the night. From other reviews, ours may be one of the better apartments. Complaints apparently just bring false promises of reimbursements.

It’s pretty cheap, and the rooms were clean, though a little worn. The pool was okay, the kitchen was fine, and both the TV and DVD player worked. Wi-Fi was available in the lobby and around the pool. Town is a 10-minute walk away, Lagos beaches are a two-minute drive, and the surfing beaches on the Atlantic coast are about a 40-minute drive.

There was major construction going on, and when we complained, they wouldn't refund our stay. The owner was so aggressive that I've never felt this uncomfortable somewhere. The place was dirty too, and missing a lot of basic necessities. Stay somewhere else!

The staff were incredible, always wanting to help us enjoy ourselves and have the best time. The views are amazing too. I’ll definitely look to stay here again when I come back to Lagos.
