There are only two rooms in the house, so it feels peaceful and spacious. The rooms and bathroom are laid out separately, but the bathroom is generous in size and has a bath. The vineyard and pool make a lovely setting, and the host is very friendly and offers tours. The place feels authentic; she’s lived here since childhood and shares stories about traditional winemaking. We joined a group tour and, because we were staying there, paid the reduced price of €15. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade jam and marmalade, local cheese, fruit, and more.

The owner, Elisabete, led our wine tasting herself, and it was easily the best one we had. She makes everything herself and adds lovely personal touches, from her own dips to her jams. If you’re in the valley, stop in for a tasting!

We could have happily stayed all day. Elisabete knows how to tell a story, taking you back to her childhood growing up on the estate. The wines were delicious, and the cheese and dips went so well with them. This is a winery you have to visit in the Douro Valley.

The host’s stories about growing up among the vines made our visit feel really personal. We also loved the Port wine tasting, which was professionally run and a lot of fun. The accommodation was comfortable and welcoming. A highlight of our trip, and highly recommended! 🍷✨

We didn’t stay overnight, just came for the tour, and had a wonderful time. Elizabeth was a gracious host with a wealth of knowledge. Our small group enjoyed the intimate setting and the beautiful surroundings. The wines came with homemade jams, bread, olive oil, and local cheese, and the port was especially good.
