The rooms were clean and the setting is beautiful, with a great view over the river and the Douro vineyard hills. Parking is limited, but the staff are very helpful about arranging spaces or finding alternatives. They were also extremely helpful with suggestions and checking how guests were doing and what they needed.

We got lucky with a space, as the car park is small. The pool was really nice after a long day tasting wine, and this place had the best view of the Douro valley and river we saw all week.

We ended up eating at the hotel both nights, with its tasty light supper options and fantastic red and white wine. We’d rather enjoy more time in the beautiful garden by the pool, with its great view of the Duoro river, than head into town. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and our spacious, comfortable room was on a quiet road where we slept well. We booked at the last minute and got a warm welcome after a long day of travel. We were sorry to leave. Many thanks to our hosts!

We arrived late after our flights were delayed, but were greeted so kindly with fresh bread, cheeses, and wine that went really well with them. The welcome made the stay memorable. We were charmed by the decor, the views were breathtaking, and the whole experience was beautiful.

The friendly service and peaceful atmosphere made this lovely B&B a pleasure to stay in. The bed was comfy, and there are beautiful views of the Douro Valley. I’d happily recommend it.
