Parque de Campismo da Praia de Pedrogao

We stayed one night because the site had a washing machine and Wi-Fi. The campervan pitches were partly level and tarmac-ed, with a bit of a sea or coast view. Staff welcomed us nicely and spoke English. Toilets and showers were clean, but otherwise the facilities were basic. Wi-Fi only worked at reception and was very slow. The restaurant and bar were open some of the time, and the town is nearby for other facilities. It was much cheaper than other places in the area.

The guy running the place was helpful. It cost me 6 euro for a night with my small tent and bicycle. There are hot showers and charging points, and it’s on the EV1 cycle route. Recommend it.

The beaches, town, and 20km of cycle paths are all top notch. The restaurant on site serves excellent food and drink at a good price. Jose and Beta, along with the rest of the team, work morning, noon, and night to make your stay a good one. We can’t wait to return. We stumbled across this place by accident and were amazed there was a campsite in the town at all. It’s still a work in progress as it modernises, but the site’s core is intact. Jose has a young team who are eager and willing to take on whatever needs doing. They’re dedicated to the customers and the campsite.

The Aire was closed, so we parked right next to it and stayed for three days before moving on. The beach is lovely, and there are plenty of restaurants, bars, food shops, bakeries, and coffee shops. The people were very friendly, and if you look around, there’s water for washing.
