Stay Hotel Leiria

We found another place within five minutes for half the price, and it was much bigger than this room. They'd told us it would be very hard to find somewhere else in the city and suggested we book their other room. We only learned later that the issue was the tiny room had one single bed. No one explained that when we called in the morning to ask about checking in early. The woman said there was no reservation under my boyfriend's name and that we had it wrong, even though I had the confirmation number with me. At the hotel she kept denying it until she saw his passport and checked him in. When we asked about parking, the woman with glasses said he couldn't park at the entrance and gave no other option. We explained there were two of us and that we'd pay any extra charge, but she said that wasn't possible. We came back hours later and a bald man checked my boyfriend in, so he had a key to his room, but again said I couldn't stay with him. He told us to book me another room for €100, saying there wasn't a bigger one available. We wanted to see what his room looked like and understand why we couldn't share it, but nobody had explained the reason. We left our luggage in their storage room and were heading to the elevator when the man stood up aggressively, asked if we were together, and said we couldn't go up. I didn't even have my purse or any luggage with me. They were stopping us from seeing a room we'd paid for. After we explained ourselves, which we shouldn't have needed to do, he let us go up. The service was absolutely horrible and they were so rude. I've travelled a lot, and this was the worst service I've had. If you get the chance, don't stay here.

A small, no-frills business hotel, just what the slogan says. The staff were very friendly, the location was good, and breakfast was nice. It was clean, with comfortable beds, free water and tea in the room, plus a small desk for working on a computer. The bathroom was clean but could use a renovation. The air conditioner looks like it came out of an industrial museum. All in all, it was okay and I'd come back.

I've been a guest here for months and go almost every weekend, but the service has been awful. They're rude, inflexible, and check-in takes so long. DO NOT GO HERE!!! ITS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!

I stayed for four weeks, and the staff were kind and helpful the whole time. Sergio helped me get everything I needed for the room at the start. Breakfast was very good, cleanliness met all my expectations, and the bed was very comfortable, with a firmer mattress. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you can hear quite a bit of noise. Their kindness made up for that one annoyance.
