The front desk team were personable, funny, and went out of their way to help us with great suggestions. Our room was lovely, clean, and modern. The hotel is central to the sights, so it was easy to get around.

The bed and pillow were comfortable, the water pressure was great, and being near Rossio plaza was handy for some local tour pickups. But I wouldn't recommend this hotel. My standard double was small, though the bathroom was large, which felt like an odd use of space. There was a leak under the bathroom sink, so our things got wet and we used towels to soak it up. The TV was small and connecting an iPhone seemed to require installing apps, which was inconvenient. The bigger issue was the noise. My second-floor room was next to the breakfast area, and every morning around 6:45 I could hear the staff setting up, putting glass bottles on tables and opening and closing cupboards. I could hear the whole preparation process. If you're sensitive to sound, I'd suggest a higher floor or skipping this hotel.

The hotel was extremely clean and very central. We stayed for a week over Christmas, and each evening from about 5pm to 11pm, loud music came from the end of the street. Even with the good windows, we could hear some background noise from our top-floor room. That wasn't the hotel's fault. Service was generally good, and when we needed help in our room twice, someone came right away. The reception staff were young and pleasant, though not especially personable. During the week, no one asked how our day went or whether we enjoyed the excursion we booked through the hotel. As in many places, staff seemed more focused on their computers than on guests, though I understand they have questions to answer and information to send. The reception area is very small, with nowhere to sit and have coffee or tea. The elevator was a little temperamental. We had to press the button several times to call it or reach our floor, and I hope they fix it before someone gets stuck. All in all, it was a very good place to stay in Lisbon. Thank you.

The staff were amazing and attentive, and the location worked well for seeing the city, catching a tuk tuk or trolley, finding food, and getting to the cruise port. I'm not sure how to rate the hotel, though, because our Mansard room was a problem. The photo made the stairs look like an upside-down staircase, but they took up about a third of the room. With the queen size bed, there was hardly any space to move around. The bathroom was large, oddly enough. I'm 6 foot 2 inches tall and had to watch my head around the 'stairs' most of the time. I wouldn't book this room again, but might try the hotel another time if I'm in the area.
