262 baixa guesthouse

I was traveling solo and had one of the rooms with a private bathroom, which suited me perfectly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was just right. The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful.

After I booked, someone contacted me with my full reservation details and asked me to confirm through a suspicious outside link. Money was taken from my bank shortly afterward. It seems my personal and payment information was compromised, which is a serious security breach. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com took real responsibility or gave proper support. I was left alone with the financial loss and stress. This was deeply unprofessional and raises serious concerns for guest safety and data protection. I strongly advise people who value their money and personal information to avoid this hotel. I won’t stay here again and can’t recommend it.

With Baixa Guest House, what I was offered didn’t match the reality, and the information before booking was misleading. Once I’d paid, communication got poor and it was almost impossible to sort out problems. The whole experience felt dishonest and unprofessional. I strongly believe the place operates in a misleading way that could easily trick guests. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and future guests should be very careful before booking.

I lost 200 Euros after a free cancellation was denied, and Booking.com refused to take responsibility. I suspect this property is involved in a phishing scheme or has been hacked. While they’re apparently trying to steal my data, there’s no chance I’ll stay here.
