5 Sins Chiado Hostel

The location is great, and I'd still recommend it. We got comfy beds and a great breakfast for a pretty decent budget price. The shower was a bit broken, so I couldn't give it five stars. There was no air conditioning in our room, which wasn't a problem for us, but I can imagine it getting quite hot in peak summer.

The breakfast and location were good, but this was the worst hostel I've stayed in, and I've been in a lot. Nine of us slept in 9 m2, and the beds were really bad. The ladder to the top bunk came loose, and there was no railing to stop me falling 2,5 m. The mixed showers had transparent doors and nowhere to put clothes or towels to keep them dry. Staff could easily fix a lot of these problems.

The staff were great and breakfast was good. The hostel is small and can get noisy, especially on the 2nd floor, though it does have a small bar. The room called big was actually small, with three-level beds. It's a bit overpriced, but the location is great.

I traveled solo and had a magical time. It's cheap, friendly, comfortable, and in a spectacular spot near the metro and train station, so the rest of Lisbon and Portugal is easy to reach. The staff were outgoing and knew where to send me next. Shout-out to Anna & Melissa. I'll be back.
