This small, historic hotel was such a lovely first introduction to Portugal. It was clean and had a unique feel, and everyone was so kind. Claudia and the rest of the staff were fantastic. I left feeling like I'd fallen in love with the country.

The location made it easy to explore Lisbon on foot, and the service was great, with friendly staff. It's a smaller hotel, so breakfast is on the small side, but the quality was decent and they cook eggs to order. A fantastic place to stay in Lisbon.

We stayed at Alecrim ao Chiado for a week, January 18/25, and were impressed by the atmosphere, location, service, and value for the price. The staff stood out in particular, they knew their stuff and were extremely helpful. We'd recommend the hotel and its staff without reservation.

Our room was large, but Room #1 was only two steps from the Reception desk, so we could hear people talking inside. It was also dim, and the bathroom lighting wasn't enough, especially around the shower. Some items were stolen from our closed luggage. They weren't worth much, but they were personalized and useful for our travels. We wouldn't come back.

We saw lots of different places around Lisbon with our toddler, thanks in part to the excellent location. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to make the stay memorable. This hotel was the highlight of our trip, and I'd recommend it to families. Thanks, Claudia, for making it special.
