Ama Apartments

The staff were the friendliest we came across, and they were so helpful when I arrived feeling unwell. The host was great and responsive. The space, room, and amenities were all really good, making this the best apartment of our five-week trip. Be ready for a VERY STEEP STAIRCASE, but it’s worth it. The road outside is busy, yet with the shutters and windows closed at night we still slept well, even over a weekend. The location is great. One tip: tuk tuks are a rip-off, so use Uber instead.

The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning that worked well. The neighborhood has plenty of nightlife, so there can be some noise nearby at night, but it didn’t bother me. There’s no elevator, but after check-in they carried our bags upstairs for us. I stayed here for over two weeks in August 2025, my second time, and everything was great. The location is amazing, and I walked almost everywhere. Check-in was quick and easy. I’m very happy with this apartment and have already booked another stay for next year.

The employees were very friendly and helpful, but the place was extremely unhygienic. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom, including in the vent, and odd stains all over the shower that wouldn’t come off. There were stains on the bedroom and bathroom walls, and on the hand towel too. The table was so low it was hard to eat at, and all the appliances were very old and noisy. There’s no sound insulation between apartments, from the corridor, or from outside. You can even see into apartments through the gap around the door. I also got stuck inside when the lock jammed and the key got stuck. I can only guess the other reviews were from people who got discounts, or maybe they were blind. Greedy, lazy investors, in my view.

We loved spending the first three days of our trip at Emma's apartments. The room was beautiful and luxurious, every bit as good as a hotel room, if not better. The staff were available, very caring, and attentive to service. We enjoyed everything!
