Casa Vale Ecotainer

Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. The room was tiny, had no window, smelled awful, and the bed wasn't comfortable. I messaged about the smell after arriving and got no answer. There was no refrigerator for keeping drinks cold, and the shower and toilet weren't very clean. We didn't have towels, shampoo, or the other basic things needed for a stay. There wasn't even anywhere in the area to get a coffee.

It's a basic hostel with hygienic facilities. The rooms were clean, though the furniture looked worn, and you have to slam the front door hard for it to open after entering the PIN. If you just need an inexpensive place to sleep for a few days and aren't looking for luxury, it's a good option.

We spent five days here and would stay again next year! The apartment isn't fancy, but it's great for a budget trip, and the kitchen was well equipped with a good-sized fridge. We bought food at Lidl and cooked breakfast every morning. The shower had great pressure and hot water, and we slept with the windows open. It worked well for three people, with lots of walking paths around. There's a 24-hour laundromat nearby, though we took Uber. Uber is cheap. A side note: it looks like a lot of the work was DIY, and I'm impressed they tried. It's not perfect, but the room felt lived-in and cozy. Excuse the mess!

The photos on the booking site were nothing like the reality. This was a tiny container outside, not a proper building. The corners and parts of the walls were dirty and mouldy, and the wall was falling apart. I didn't want to walk barefoot on the floor. It was damp throughout, like camping, because there was no insulation. When someone in another container showered, water leaked into our room and flooded the whole floor.
