Tesouro da Baixa

The beautiful views from my room made mornings and evenings feel special, and the room itself was spacious, cozy, and well equipped. Hotel Tesouro da Baixa by Shiadu was a lovely place to unwind after a day out. Everyone on staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, easily the best service I’ve come across. The 24-hour reception meant I could have privacy and still feel looked after, and having the coffee room open anytime was a nice touch. I’d happily recommend it to friends and family, and can’t wait to return.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast at the bar was a lovely start to the day. This boutique hotel has a relaxed, cozy family feel, while the staff stay attentive and welcoming. They were genuinely warm and went out of their way to accommodate us. Everything felt just right, and we loved the location. We’d happily recommend it and look forward to coming back.

We arrived exhausted after an overseas flight delay and were unsure at first, but the woman at reception immediately made us feel welcome. She offered us a drink while we checked in, and told us there was coffee available around the clock, including cappuccino, macchiato, espresso, and long coffee. The room was clean, quiet, practical, and nice, with a pretty comfortable bed. I’m a side sleeper and my big hips were a bit sore, but it wasn’t too bad. Four metro stations are only a three-minute walk from the door. Breakfast staff were incredible and attentive, with so many delicious choices that we ate far too much and felt like royalty. I wish I’d caught the name of the second staff member who, after our nap, spent at least 20 minutes giving me a city map and walking me through how to reach places. I won’t forget the hospitality, the zucchini jam with meat and cheese, or the Merengue Swiss roll that was like eating a cloud. We loved our stay and miss it already, just eight hours after leaving 😂

The apartment was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, so it was a pleasure to return after a full day out. We had a lovely four-day stay, with friendly, helpful staff and delicious breakfasts. The selection changed things up, and we especially looked forward to the fantastic sweets each morning. It’s easy to explore the city on foot from this well-located hotel, and the nearby metro station makes getting to the airport simple. Thank you!
