Chiado Dream Apartments

We had a nice view, and the check-in and check-out went smoothly. The location is genuinely good, and we used the apartment as a decent base for three nights. Outside noise was well blocked, especially with earplugs, though we couldn’t sleep with the windows open because of the busy street. A machine-like hum inside the apartment kept coming back every 1-2 minutes, and we could still hear it through the earplugs. The apartment’s condition made a real difference to the stay. There was visible black mold around the shower, ceiling fixtures, and window frames, along with peeling paint and water damage on walls and ceiling. Cracks and worn finishes looked like ongoing maintenance problems, not recent damage. In a poorly ventilated bathroom, mold can also have health implications. The quality seems to vary by unit, so ours may not represent every apartment. Basic supplies were missing at first too, including shampoo on the first night. The location and friendly logistics were good, but the condition seriously affected our stay. I’d only recommend it if the moisture and repair issues are addressed, or if you can be sure of getting a well-maintained unit.

The location was excellent, close to everything, and as a woman traveling solo I felt very safe. They cleaned every day and always had coffee or tea. The little kitchenette worked perfectly for what I needed. From the older reviews, it looks like the previous problems have been dealt with, unless they still affect some rooms.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice. Dream Chiado set up our airport transfer, and it was prompt and smooth. Antonio (transfer) sent clear instructions, so we found him easily and felt confident about the pickup. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped, in a great spot near the metro, food, pharmacies, shops, and the water.

We hardly needed transport, since the central location made it easy to walk around. The apartment at Dream Chiado Lisbon was roomy, well equipped, and had a lift. The staff were friendly and flexible, and letting us check in early was much appreciated. For the comfort, service, and convenience, it was excellent value. Highly recommended.
