Comfort in the center of Lisbon

The place looks spacious, modern, and nicely decorated, but we still left Lisbon a day early because the problems overshadowed everything else. Getting up to the third floor meant climbing about six steep, narrow flights in an old building, with no lift. Carrying suitcases was a real ordeal, and cables hanging between floors made the place feel neglected and unsafe. It’s a poor fit for older people, anyone with limited mobility, or people with large luggage. Fish restaurants downstairs sent an unbearable smell up in the afternoons. With the heat, keeping the windows open meant being surrounded by the stink, so airing the apartment wasn’t really possible. The bathroom didn’t match the photos: it had a sliding door, the visible extractor fan didn’t work, and odors built up. The TV never worked, and its remotes were unusable. The layout may suit a family or group, but it isn’t really comfortable for six, especially with the difficult access and poor ventilation. When we went looking for the complaints book, it was hidden in a compartment by the transformers, as if they didn’t want guests to find it. Such a shame, because the apartment has potential. I don’t recommend it.
