D&N Hospedagem - Hostel

I had to cancel my trip because of work, so I contacted the accommodation a month ahead to ask about rebooking under the booking conditions. After they ignored several emails and messages through Booking.com, I called and was told changing the dates wasn't possible. Booking.com then emailed to say they'd confirm a new date, but two months on, I still haven't received one.

We found blood in the bathroom, as well as cockroaches in both the bedroom and bathroom. The host ignored us when we reached out for help, kept the money, and did nothing, so we had to book another hotel at double the price. Booking through Booking.com didn't help either, even after we showed proof, and we lost our money. Please avoid this place.

The place was generally clean and the bathrooms were okay, but the beds are tiny. We paid in advance for two beds through Booking.com, then arrived to be told none were left. They sent us to another place two blocks away that didn't seem nearly as nice. There are strict rules, and a guy is constantly watching what you're doing. The kitchen shuts at 10, there's nowhere else to hang out, and you can't even bring in a beer. The Wi-Fi is awful and the blinds don't close. I wouldn't recommend it unless all you need is a bed for one night.

I couldn't even spend one night there. As a solo female traveler, I felt so unsafe that I immediately booked a hotel, despite it costing a ton of money. There were no other guests, and I didn't trust the host. The place and the hosts creeped me out, and I felt like I might get murdered. If you've watched the Jeffrey Dahmer series, the apartment looks a lot like that hostel. Stay away. The room was tiny, with three-tier bunk beds in just 8 square meters, no air conditioning, and it was on the fifth floor of an apartment building. The hosts felt creepy too.
