The room could use renovation. There were stains on the carpet and the walls badly need a fresh coat of paint. Still, the views are hard to beat, and the windows were soundproofed, which made a big difference. We had a really enjoyable visit. The breakfast trolley came right to the room, with hot coffee and eggs, and I could get used to that. The taxi service and the afternoon port were nice touches too.

The rooms are gorgeous and come with great views, and there’s plenty to do just steps away. Palace Chiado is also in a great location. The people were so kind and accommodating, and the amazing breakfast trolley they bring in each morning made the stay feel extra luxurious. Dear Lisbon- Palace Chiado was a wonderful hotel.

Our room was huge for the city, with perfect views, and the neighborhood was quiet. Breakfast brought to the room was delicious. The staff were always keen to help, but also happy to give you space if you’re not high maintenance. The people are what make this boutique hotel feel so charming and like a throwback. A must-stay in the city!

The hotel is perfectly placed for walking to just about anywhere, with shops, cafés and restaurants all around. That does mean some street noise, but it wasn’t bad for us. They can also arrange airport pickup, which was handy. We had a wonderful stay at Dear Lisbon Palace Chiado, one of my favorite hotels now. The suites are huge, with beautiful windows and a great bathroom and shower. Our room was very clean and made up daily, and the towels were lovely. Robes, slippers, a hair dryer, shampoo and body wash were provided, but there was no conditioner or lotion. Breakfast was served in the suite, and there were so many options that we looked forward to it each day. I miss those cappuccinos! I’d definitely stay again.

There’s no lift, so you have to climb 43 steps. After 5pm, sometimes earlier, you’re on your own. There’s no dining room, lounge or bar where you can relax, and service is very limited. This feels more like a guest house than a hotel.
