Hotel Dom Carlos Park

We had a nice birthday present arranged, and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the location convenient. Nice place, I recommend it.

You can hear everything in the corridor, and the room doesn’t give you much protection from the neighbors either. Our connecting door was so thin that every word and sound came through, even the smell of deodorant. Every sound from the toilet next door was audible too. The wardrobe was barely better than a shelf, with doors that were almost impossible to slide. We didn’t get a restful night.

The location is great, with easy access to public transport and the city center, and the hotel looks nice outside. Staff were kind and helpful, especially the flexible, supportive reservation team. Breakfast was good and enough, though the selection was limited. The rooms, however, are old and outdated, and the bathrooms are small, with no pleasant view. The doors are extremely noisy, and hallway conversations and movement carry clearly into the room. That made sleep difficult. I tried both a single and a double room, and both mattresses gave me back pain. It’s practical for a short stay if location matters, but the noise and poor sleep make it uncomfortable for longer.

One of my colleagues suggested this hotel, and it was a good choice. The rooms were well kept, the buffet breakfast was great, and the hotel is well located. The staff were friendly, especially the guys in the dining area.
