easyHotel Lisbon

I booked early at a good price, and it turned out to be worth it. The hotel is well located, not far from the tourist spots. They let me check in almost three hours early. The shared spaces were very clean. There was a little dust in my room, but it was clean overall. I’d stay again if I found a good discount.

The staff were really helpful and polite, and the rooms were clean. But we couldn’t sleep because of the street noise. The pillows felt like bags of fabric clumped together after too many boil washes. There was so little space between the toilet and the wall that EasyJet seats would seem roomy by comparison. Seriously, we had to sit sideways to use it!

easyHotel is a solid, reliable choice in central Lisbon if you want good value. It’s a no-frills place, with basic, functional rooms, which is exactly what you sign up for. The rain showerhead was a nice surprise. The mattress is quite firm, and I found it comfortable and supportive, though that’s a matter of preference. Even as a budget-friendly spot, it feels safe and secure.

What helped most was how kind the staff were while I was ill. I’d booked the next night too late and had to change rooms, but they found me one just a couple of doors away, so I barely had to move my bags, and let me check in early. That meant a lot when I was feeling so rough. I was staying there because of electrical problems in my flat. The room was clean and comfortable, with a strong hot shower and a very comfy bed.
