Empire Lisbon Hotel

The location was the best part: about 10 minutes by car from the airport, with places easy to reach on foot and a train stop one block away. The hotel itself is very small. The men working there were pleasant, though I didn't find the women as friendly. Breakfast ends at 10, so get up early. There was plenty of fruit, including some you could take away. Staff woke me early even with the “no bother” sign on my door. The price is cheap, and you get what you pay for. I'd only book again if I had no other options. A street-facing room is very noisy.

The building and facilities felt a little old, but everything was clean and looked well maintained. My bathroom was small, though there were no hygiene problems. Breakfast was simple rather than luxurious, with the basics and a spacious, relaxed dining area. I could also walk into the city center. I arrived in Lisbon late at night for the first night of my trip. The staff made check-in smooth, and I was able to rest comfortably. The hotel is fairly close to Lisbon Airport and easy to reach by taxi. It gave my trip a pleasant start, with a bit of Portuguese charm. 😌🌃🚖🧺🫧🏖️

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good. Still, the bathroom drainage needs fixing. The shower drained extremely slowly, and water spilled into the bedroom even with the bathroom door shut. I saw other negative reviews describing the same issue, so I wonder if we were put in the same accessible room. Sometimes there was no hot water, and we'd have to wait several hours for it to return. I took the video just after checking in. I was exhausted and showered, then came out to find the shampoo and shower water had run under the bathroom door and out into the room.

The staff were thoughtful and very helpful, and breakfast had a lovely selection in a relaxed dining room. I had a great, comfortable stay at Empire Hotel in Lisbon in November. The rooms were clean, and getting to the Metro was easy. I'd recommend it for a Lisbon stay. Thank you!
