We waited more than an hour, then got unlucky with the seats. If you have to stand, there isn’t much to see, and the tram also carries locals going between stops. A few stops into our ride, we were all told to get off without any explanation. That left us choosing between paying extra for a taxi or another sightseeing service like the Tut Tut, or waiting for another packed tram. This felt like a tourist trap with no customer service. Save your time and money. I’d give it less than one star if I could.

It’s just a tram, so you may be better off looking at it from the street and keeping your sanity. We stood in line for two hours, then two rude locals pushed ahead of us. Once we boarded, they said the ride would be only 10 minutes instead of the usual 30+, because of some Catholic holiday. There were no signs or warning ahead of time. Horrible experience today.

We walked back from the final stop to the center instead of getting on the tram again, which worked well. The ride was worth doing, and starting early, around 08:00h, helps you avoid the queues. Don’t let all the negative comments put you off.

Take the 12 instead. It’s a shorter ride, but still covers the route well. Number 28 takes you to the cemetery, where you have to queue all over again to get back, with very few alternatives from there. Two hours in line just isn’t worth it, so be warned.
